Nursery & Ornamental Jack Frost Foam Application

The Jack Frost Foam Advantage:

Imagine if you could protect recently set young plants from a killer freeze:

  • Without having to invest in an equal amount of backup plants.
  • Without having to use vast amounts of water that can lead to disease or damage.
  • Without having to invest in expensive crop covers, that give only a few degrees of protection.
  • Without having to invest in expensive wind-driven devices that do not work.
  • Without having to employ a large labor force to replant.

Imagine being able to protect ripe fruit ready for harvest from an early frost:

  • Without having to use thousands of gallons of water, that can do more damage.
  • Without having production losses from applying and removing crop covers.
  • Without having to watch your investment freeze on the vine.

Jack Frost History

In 2003 a major breakthrough in horticultural frost protection was developed by American Ag. Foam LLC, using a simple concept: protect a crop by placing an insulating foam blanket over it (called Botanical Insulating Foam.) This technological breakthrough places a blanket of Insulating Foam over a plant for a specific period of time. This blanket keeps heat in (heat released from the ground is trapped around the plant) and cold out (cold does not penetrate the foam surface). America Ag. Foam’s patent-pending formulation creates a protective foam that quickly sets a strong protective outer layer (skin) as the temperature drops. Jack Frost Foam can also withstand the forces of wind up to 6-9 miles per hour, with very little surface sheering occurring. Jack Frost Foam has been formulated to protect a crop against frost or cold damage for 8-14 hours. After the freeze event occurs and the temperature increases above 55ºF Jack Frost Foam is formulated to break down and disappears with no harmful effects on the crop.

Imagine a product that can give you all of this:

  1. Light as a feather on a crop, will not bruise or break a plant’s branches or stems.
  2. Applied quickly when you need it, and can be removed easily and quickly.
  3. Foam blanket is non-toxic and safe to use on food crops and other plants.
  4. Last for 8-14 hours after application.
  5. Sets a stronger protective blanket as the temperature drops.
  6. Can give up to 20+ degrees of frost protection.
  7. Starts to breakdown as the temperature rises.

IMAGINE NO LONGER!

Jack Frost Foam can give you all of this and more.
